The Mix Weighs node shows a tree-view representation of test profile VUs distributed between load agents and test objects (test cases and test case groups).

Each load agent will execute the test independently during a distributed load test. The VUs are distributed in the following order:

  1. Before the test starts, the controller allocates all profile VUs between the load agents.
  2. During the test, each load agent will distribute its VUs between test objects.

Controller-only test

Step 1 is skipped during a controller-only test where only the local agent runs the test.

Mix weights control

  1. Go to the Mix Weights node in the Workflow Tree.
  2. Click the Refresh button to refresh the tree to display the current test profile, load agents, and test objects.
  3. The top-level node displays the current test profile. The maximum number of VUs, according to the load pattern, is displayed in the parenthesis.
  4. The second-level nodes display all the load agents in the test. The maximum number of VUs, according to the agent mix weight, is displayed in the parenthesis. Set the mix weight in the property grid (a) to change the mix weight.
  5. The third-level nodes display all the test objects in the test. The maximum number of VUs, according to the test object mix weight, is displayed in the parenthesis. Set the mix weight in the property grid (a) to change the mix weight.

Grid representations

While the mix weights control gives a hierarchical view of VU distribution, editing can be time-consuming. To bring up a grid representation of mix weights, click the Configure VU distribution button and select one of the following:
