Release date - July 10, 2024

Main highlights

  1. "Recording guarantee" with web browser extensions. Issues with proxy recording (due to lack of permissions) will no longer be obstacles to scenario recording.  A revolutionary recording method directly from web browsers will not be vulnerable to enterprise network security restrictions. All major web browsers are supported:9SKO

  2. Increase the controller machine load generation capability by an order of magnitude. Now, the controller supports multiple in-memory LGs that can scale across multiple processes utilizing its full hardware capacity.46Y1

  3. A new level of visibility into performance testing through Integration with Azure Application Insights.  You can configure what real-time data to stream into Application Insights that will be instantly and securely accessible in runtime or visible on the historical reports to multiple observers.V10U

  4. Reengineered support for web socket protocol, including automatic and manual correlation, transaction support, and asynchronous server frames, broadened support of web-socket-based applications.4NQ3

Upgraded Extractors

  1. Automatically apply extractor decoding for the D365 Business Central application to display the extractor values in a human-readable format. Previously, such extractors were displayed as binary.3402

  2. Automatically decoded D365 Business Central application extractors are now searchable in the test case tree, simplifying manual correlation. Users can now create additional extractors from human-readable information, which previously was virtually impossible because the information was encoded.H9YN

  3. The extractor's replayed values can now be copied to the clipboard, simplifying manual scripting.SO18

More Versatile Data-generators

  1. Auto-increment data generators with all-vu scope now globally generate unique values in distributed tests. Previously, while every LG generated unique values, clashes were possible across the LGs.NH5J

  2. Added an option to reset auto-increment data generators with the per-vu scope on every iteration. Some applications like D365 F&O require replaying the same sequence of auto increments in different iterations.314G

  3. Auto-increment was added to the date/time data generator. Users can configure to auto-increment any daypart.S63Z

  4. Option to clone data generators to speed up scripting similar parameters. Previously, every data generator had to be created from scratch.XTXP

Better Reporting

  1. Added more data to the activity diagram export, including iteration success/failure and failure details.9I34

  2. Added percentiles (90%, 95,% 99%)  to the request details grid.IV5T

  3. Added support for multiple test output files for a test execution. Every test case can have a separate output file. Previously, only one output file could be created for a test execution.I7X3

UI Enhancement

  1. JSON and XML viewers to the window for comparing recorded and replayed requests and responses. For added convenience, it displays data in a fully formatted view. Previously, such comparisons were displayed as unformatted text.409Z

  2. JSON and XML viewers to the session inspectors so they can display requests and responses in a fully formatted view. Previously, such data was displayed as unformatted text.6OVI

  3. Add a status line that displays the number of highlighted characters in text comparers and other text boxes.KKMF

  4. Display the length of each name/value in the comparer grids for HTTP request headers, HTTP request cookies, web forms, and query strings to quickly identify missing correlations.34I1

Advanced Web sockets

  1. Acclaimed StresStimulus autocorrelation capabilities are now expanded to client and server web socket frames. It works for both text and binary traffic.OI21
  2. The new high-productivity UI allows complete manual correlation for web socket frames in minimum time.43Y6

  3. Single-page web socket applications with a persistent connection now support multiple transactions. Web socket frames are broken into multiple web socket sessions (one for every client-to-server frame) for flexible grouping with transactions. Previously, all web socket frames were grouped into a single web socket session.2OQ8

  4. Broader support of web socket applications, thanks to flexible handling of asynchronous server web socket frames on demand.

  5. A new server frame listener can now be configured to handle various web socket events differently.727E

  6. Added a minimum number of server frames to expect before checking the completion condition.633B

Browser recorder extensions

  1. StresStimulus recorder extension for the Chromium browsers (Chrome and Microsoft Edge).

  2. StresStimulus recorder extension for the Firefox browser.

More Test runtime options

  1. Added support for pausing, resuming, and abandoning requests on all LGs during a distributed test. Previously, such functionality was only supported on the controller.7146

  2. The Set-Cookie name property can now be a dynamic expression. Cookie correlation or parameterization can now change the cookie name. Previously, only dynamic cookie values were supported, but the Cookie was expected to be constant.AGL4

Miscellaneous

  1. When saving a new test solution, give the option to save all test case files to a new location or use the existing ones.3MW8

  2. Improved UI look and feel for screens with low video resolution.54B7

  3. Introduced Auto-correlation support for D365 Business Central.JH52

  4. Improve auto-correlation for the latest versions of D365 CE.MBD4

  5. Improve auto-correlation for the latest versions of D365 F&O.MBD4

  6. Multiple fixes and other improvements.
