The CI/CD scripting wizard can build and export the appropriate script to integrate StresStimulus testing into your CI/CD pipeline. The following scripts are supported:

  • Azure DevOps (.yml)

  • PowerShell (.ps)

  • Command Line (.bat)

Select the CI/CD Utilities node in the Workflow tree to start the wizard.

Step 1

Select the type of script to generate:

Step 2

Specify test execution options:

  • Test Profile: Select a test profile. The default is the profile currently selected in the Test Profile section.
  • Test Run Name: Enter a test run name. By default, it is set to <ssconfig file name>. StresStimulus will automatically append  _ <timestamp>.
  • Test Run Description: Optionally, provide a description for the test run.

Step 3

Choose how the test should be executed:

  • Non-UI Mode: Runs StresStimulus in a headless mode, using fewer system resources. This mode is recommended for automated DevOps workflows.
  • GUI Mode: Runs StresStimulus interactively, displaying the runtime dashboard, real-time graphs, and providing manual test monitoring and control.

Step 4

Specify whether to include the StresStimulus installation step. This is required for environments where StresStimulus is not pre-installed.

  • Skip Installation: Use this option for self-hosted agents where StresStimulus is already installed, whether on-premises or in the cloud.
  • Execute StresStimulus Installation Step: Use this option for Microsoft-hosted agents, where StresStimulus must be installed before each test execution. Installation takes a few minutes.

Step 5

Choose how test reports should be generated:

  • HTML Report: Saves an HTML report in a specified folder on the self-hosted agent. Enter the folder path.
  • ZIP Archive: Generates a .zip archive containing an HTML report and saves it as a build artifact in the Azure DevOps repository. Enter the relative path where the file should be stored.
  • Skip Report: No report will be generated.

Step 6

Choose the format for the HTML report:

  • Multi-Page: Generates a report with multiple hyperlinked pages for easier navigation.
  • Single-Page: Generates a single-page HTML report, making it more convenient for exporting to PDF or other formats.

Step 7

The generated script can be used to execute StresStimulus tests within your CI/CD pipeline.

  • Export to file: Save the script as a file for importing into your CI/CD pipeline.
  • Copy to clipboard: Copy the script to the clipboard, allowing you to paste it directly into your CI/CD pipeline configuration.
